printer mis-allignment message is false

HP Pavilion a4310f

HP officejet 6480 printer

Win 7 home edition

Each time I power on this printer, I get the message 'page alignment error'. I have not added paper, changed a cartridge or made any other changes to this printer.

I have deleted/reinstalled the printer software on several occasions. This takes a considerable amount of time. This appears to be a major defect with this printer.

Is there any to prevent this? This has become extremely annoying.

Do I have to leave my HP Officejet 6480 printer powered on at all times?

Please help.

Re: printer mis-allignment message is false

It appears nobody has any answer to my difficulty.

HP Pavilion a4310f computer, 3.0GHz, 64 bit, 4GB RAM, no other printers connected.

I have experienced this for some time, and have repeatedly downloaded/reinstalled this printer's software.

This is obviously a major glitch in this printer software.

Perhaps HP is trying to force me to buy a new HP inkjet printer. Not likely, based on price/quality ratio.

Must have to continue download/reinstall of HP Inkjet 6480 software repeatedly until this software is no longer available.

At that time, I shall have to look at Canon, etc. since HP does not provide higher quality products.

HP, like all others. are made in China. Perhaps there is no difference in quality now.

This is unfortunate.
