printhead cleaning too often

HP OFFICE JET PRO 8500 WIRELESS  goes into printhead cleaning and into checking device after every 15 pages printed. how can this be corrected and about how many pages should it print before self cleaning?

i also want to know how to manually stop or change settings on cleaning printheads.

This sounds odd. Is it doing printhead cleaning or alignment? Was there a successful alignment already done?
