When I turn on my printers, one is a Photosmart C5180, the second is a Photosmart C6280, I receive an error message saying "Pump motor stalled". If I switch off and on again, this sometimes clears. Anyone else experienceed this on two printers. Both only use HP Original Ink Cartridges.

Is there any way to fix my HP C5100 printer when I have an error that the Pump Motor has stalled? I've tried turning off, Utilities, etc. Help please.

I understand you are getting a pump motor stalled error message on your printer and are having issues clearing it. I'd be happy to help you, I just need to know which printer is it that you have?
Once I have this information I will do my best to help you out! Thanks.
Have a great day!

I´ve had same problem and tried all solutions recomended. But it never worked.
Frustrated and about to throw the C6280 out the window, i´d tought ill go all in on cheking gear and pullies.
I noticed that two of the gears, located left on the printhead, could move! They are conected to a black plastic lever and where stuck in wrong position, which i got confirmed it was, since the printer worked flawlessly after i corrected them.
Try it, it´s easy to find just open the lid and gently pull the gears, it´s more or less selfexplanetory how they should sit.

Hi. I am having the same problem. I would like a more detailed explanation of how to fix the gears on the printhead or any other suggestions on how to get my printer to print again. (I have a c6280 and I've tried to power it off, unplug it, etc.) Thanks.
