HP Laserjet P1006
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I got This Laserjet P1006 free and it has vertical lines on the page. See attachment. How do I clean up the print?

Perform the half way test:

Swap out the toner cartridge, fuser or drum accordingly.  A verticle problem like that is usually the result of a bad toner cartridge though.

This deal that I got (free) a pallet full of towers, laptops, 12 wifi USB sticks new in the box and 2 of HP Laserjet P1006 printers. The other printer prints good but the printing is a tad light.  I swaped out the toner cartridges.  That problem is solved. Now #2 printer prints good.

Glad to hear you fixed the problem.  You really got all that stuff for free?  That is a heck of a deal.

To help the community grow I would suggest granting a Kudo or even better marking one of the posts as a solution.  This kind of feedback helps HP track trends to improve future products as well as helps fellow community readers skip ahead to the solution.

All this stuff came from the Radcon committee (Radcon is a scifi/fantasy convention that happens every year on the weekend of Feb 14th).  I am one of the board members and a dept head. We just updated our whole computer system.  Registration, inventory and cash registers. Instead lugging a bunch of towers, keybords, monitors, cash registers and miles of lan cable. the new system is 1 central tower and everything is all wifi connected. Also instead of at the end of shift and z'ing out the cash registers and typing the info into the computer by hand.  This coming Radcon it is all automated.

A ps, all this old stuff is OS XP Pro. The new system is newer/used OS Win7 32 bit.
