unused printer with new ink only prints magenta

i need to be able to print my color pictures, but i only get magenta. i am very upset that i cannot find a solution. please help as soon as possible.

Hey there,

Are you using the original cartridges that came with the printer or replacements?

Do you see the same results on a printer status report, or test page from the printer?

i had the same issue with the original cartridges, figured they were out - printer said ink was low. i got new cartridges and still have the same issue. all test pages - from several options - only printed in magenta as well. just restating for clarity, the printer* is new condition, had not actually been used prior to my acquiring. the printer also prints very slowly, several times during test runs it took the printer three minutes to print the test pages. other times it prints fast, usually when it spits out blanks - no pink on document.

It sounds like the other cartridges may be clogged. This isnt an official solution but just may work in this scenario.

The method was unsuccessful. Re-alliterating, the current cartridges are new, as in I bought them from the store (Office max) and put them into the printer.
