Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi, 

I purchase new cartridge (05 A) for my HP printer P2055. After install the new cartridge. After printing any document this message appear on both my PC and printer (used black cartridge in use) Note that I checked cartridge on Validate Security Seal web site.

 

I wish to clarify why this message appears Although the site told me it original

The print cartridges are most likely refilled cartridges.

If you believe you purchased a genuine HP supply, visit this HP Web address:www.hp.com/go/anticounterfeit.

I have been using this cartridge for quite awhile (in fact it is getting low) and suddenly am receiving the "used black cartridge in use" message.  If this is a fake cartridge why would it take months to report it.  I checked the bar code and it is a legitimate HP product.  Why the message all of a sudden?

Do you more that one of these printers. If your cartridge was used to test another printer and then put back in yours, you could get the message. Most likely the chip on the toner has gone bad.

Only have one of these printers.  I guess as long as it prints OK I shouldn't worry about the error message.
