Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I don't use the color ink. I keep getting the alignment failure notice because it's only printed in black ink. Can I stop getting the notice without buying a color cartridge?

Please replace the color cartridge and then you can align your printer.

In order for the alignment to succeed, all colors must work.

That didn't answer my question. I have separate color and black cartridges. I have the right cartridges.The color cartridge is installed correctly but is empty now because I don't use it anymore. I hardly ever did. I know how to use my printer/scanner. And no, the answer is not in the manual, that's why I asked here.

Well, I won't buy another hp printer if I'm forced to keep color in it just to print black only. Your product sucks.
