Envy 5640
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Hi

I've recently purchased the Envy 5640 and am a bit disappointed with the black/dark tones I'm getting from it. They're pretty washed out... I had thought it might be cheap photo paper causing it, but the the happened on the HP paper supplied. As far as I know I have the latest drivers too.

Is it possible to adjust levels manually in anyway or am I stuck with this?

Thanks!

Ben

Greetings @benjamingreen,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking to improve the print quality while printing from MAC computer. Don't worry I will be glad to help.

Have you tried any settings on your own?

Are you using HP Genuine ink?

Recommend you to refer to this HP Article. You have an option to select the paper type and also increase the print quality as well.

Refer to the below articles for assistance.

Hi

THanks for the reply.

Yes, I've looked at settings and selected paper types etc – I'm using 'best' quality settings, and ink is still that whcih came with the printer.

I'll look at the Color Matching settings next time and see if that helps as that's the only one I've not investigated.

Will keep you posted.

Cheers,

Ben
