Officejet 4650
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello,

I've bought this Officejet 4650 some days ago and in the beginning all seemed to function well. Today, while trying to get a copy, the printer crashed with the error code in subject, 0XB884A686, after one or two minutes. Now the printer does not shutdown in the correct way and when I restart it, the main menu appears for thirty seconds and the the printer crashes again and again. I am not able to find an error code table anywhere. The printer is connected via USB.

Waiting for an answer,

Renato

Hey @Renato_35,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you are having some issues with an error code on your Officejet 4650 e-All-in-One Printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done, this document outlines how to troubleshoot error messages on your printer.

If after following the above the message still returns, the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact HP Support by clicking on this link and filling out the form at the bottom to discuss options based on your warranty.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to resolve your issue or reach some resolution, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

I have the same problem your above error forum does have the code in it. However, I did plug it into the wall outlet so I hope that works, if not I will be back. I no longer have the box so if I have to return it can I do so without the box?

I meant to say it does not have the code in the error forum

I had this problem and error message too but finally fixed it.

Try this first. Unplug the printer's  USB cable from your computer. Restart your computer. Log in to your Administrator account. Plug the printer's USB cord back in.

If that doesn't work follow the steps in this video to update your USB drivers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nSU3S0atjU. After that follow the same process I described at the beginning (unplug, restart, etc).

That should be it.

Hope this helped
