Hello,

Looking for some help:

We have printer that is currently un-useable as every time we switch it on, it is giving us an 59.40 error code.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

This is a motor error. Go into the diagnostics menu and choose the item component test and test each motor. One of them will not pass the test. Sometimes it can be the toner cartridge binding up preventing the drum motor from turning. Remove the toner cartridge and turn on the printer to see if comes to the message to insert the toner cartridge. Usually if it comes to ask for the toner and then when you insert you get the error the toner cartridge is the problem. You can do the component test with the toner removed to confirm. If the fuser motor is the problem remove the fuser to see if you can turn the fuser gear on the fuser by hand. It will be tight but should still turn. If it does not, then the fuser could be having an issue.
