HP Envy 4500 "Out of Paper" error

My wireless HP Envy 4500 says "Out of Paper" when I try to print from my HP Pavilion.  The printer does work (also wireless) from a Dell laptop and if I use the Copy function.

 

Any ideas why the printer stopped working from the Pavilion only?

Hi,

As the issue only appear from a specific computer, it is more likely related to a wrong print settings of the driver.

 

Follow Solution Five below and check if that may help:

If the same persists also run the HP Print and Scan doctor by selecting Fix Printing and check if that may help:

If there is still no difference, have you tried using another application to print? e.g Wordpad, can you see the same results from any application?

Thanks for teh suggestions.  Unfortunately, they did not work, so I am trying to uninstall and reinstall the printer.

Hi,

I would suggest using the latest software from the HP site, the original CD may include an older version of the software.

This issue is also occuring for me. Please advise without having the update my driver, as I have just updated it a few weeks ago.

 

I'm growing very frustrated with HP's products. Since I've acquired this printer, I've had to restart and re-install my printer/drivers almost every time I want to use it. I am severly dissappointed in this product and the support available.
