Hi

I have this problem, and the associated fix on the website does not work for me.

Are there any other fixes that do?

Thanks

jriv,

Were you able to follow my Solution in this thread to try and get rid of the error message you are receiving on your HP Officejet 7310? The error message could refer to anything from the product needing a basic reset to reinstalling the printhead or cartridges, as stated in the troubleshooting document:

"There are many variations of these alphanumeric codes. Some begin with '0x...' while others begin with a 'B' or 'C.' Your exact error might not be in the example list, but you should continue with the troubleshooting outlined in this document."

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask, let me know the outcome of the troubleshooting.

Thank you,

HevnLgh

I have no success in repairing my 7310 using the partial reset instructions provided.  Does anyone have another option for me to try? Is there such a thing as a full reset?

Thanks

IT WORKED! Getting the ink cartridges pulled was the most challenging. There is a tab in the way preventing them from coming out all the way, but you can still flip the covers open and simply slide the cartridges loose. That was enough for my machine to reset. Thanks again!

This didn't help on my HP Officejet 7410. Tried the partial reset (depressing # and 3 on powerup). Unable to withdraw cartridges parked on the far right. Removed phone line as well in the process, still get the same alarm as title from the 7310 user.

Correction. I had to hold the # and 3 down simultaneously for a full 2 minutes as the previous member noted. 30 seconds was insufficient. That then worked. Cartridges were able to be fully removed as the white tab had lowered for me for full removal. Rinsed slightly in water to clear any dryness and now it would appear to work fully. Thanks.
