Product: officejet 6500A E710
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

Due to some older software I need to keep, I am running windows xp and I need to find the installation driver for this printer. I bought it to replace my old one. Here are the steps I have taken so far: Removed my other printer software from my computer,unplugged my other 6500A, restarted my computer, went to the HP support page but could only find a firmware update that didn't do anything. Now I'm guessing I need the actual installation driver. Anybody have a link for this?

Hi,

Do you have a 32 or 64-bit version of Windows XP?

 

the printer is only supported on Windows XP (32-bit) with Service Pack 2 or later installed, it is incompatible with Windows XP 64-bit.

 

You may find its System requirements listed below:
