I recently bought some new ink for my printer, but when I try to print something, a text comes up on my printer saying that only one set of Instant ink ready cartridges can be used on a printer. And ask me to put now cartridges in.

Hello @RDhesi,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you're unable to use Instant Ink "ready" cartridges in your printer. I will certainly do my best to help you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.

Where did you get the second set of Instant Ink 'ready' cartridges?  Did you have your printer replaced?

Instant Ink 'ready' cartridges are 'setup' cartridges and can't be used if the printer has already been initialized. Therefore, you will not be able to use them because they configure the printer and your printer has already been setup.

If you require more ink cartridges, please send me a private message with your account number or email address and I would be happy to look into sending you more ink if needed. Also, confirm that the address on your account is correct.  🙂

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums! Good luck! 🙂
