I'm afraid that I don't know. In the end I concluded that the problem that I was having with date retention was the result of a capacitor that holds it up when power is disconnected becoming discharged. This was borne out by the fact that the date is less likely to be lost if the printer is powered up reasonably often. It sounds like you may have a somewhat more serious problem, possibly unrelated to the use of Windows 10, though I don't know one way or the other if the printer is supported bythat OS. Sorry that I can't be of more help.
