Photosmart C5180

I just replaced all ink cartridges in my Photosmart C5180 with new HP ink. When I print a test page, in the print quality pattern section the black and yellow come out fine but none of the other colors print.  When printing a page that has color, only the yellow and black print.  We have done a self clean cycle 2 times with no improvement. Had this 10 years and love it, I'd hate to have to replace it.  If I do have to replace, any suggestions for a good HP printer for quality photos but also general printing?

The issue looks like being hardware related. So please try making a few copies in color directly from the printer without any communication from the computer.

  • Please try to make a few copies directly from the printer without any intervention from the computer. Please place the required document face down on the flatbed scanner and touch the copy button. If it copies fine, then the issue could be software related.

If it does not copy correctly then the issue is hardware related and the printer needs to be replaced. Based on your specifications and requirement you could contact http://store.hp.com

If it works fine please uninstall the printer software complete from this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02259020

hen please follow the steps to remove the print server printer drivers.

  • Remove the printer from the devices list” from the link.
  • Then please uninstall all the HP drivers from print server properties option.
  • Steps: go to control panel->devices and printers-> print server properties->drivers->select the printer and click on remove.
  • Print server properties show up at the top when you select the correct printer option.

 

Then install the latest printer software from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Photosmart-C5100-All-in-One-Printer-ser...
