HP Recommended
HP was sued in 2011 over this very issue. Plantiffs were awarded e-credits towards new cartridges, however, HP did not remove the expired cartridge pop-ups from its solution center. This is my last HP printer - Officejet Pro 8500

ROFL. It’s 2017 and HP’s printer ink goes sour like (and with about the frequency of) milk... Why sure, I’d like another HP printer please! (But if I just turn off a basic network protocol, I can maybe work around it....). Perfect!
