How do you fix error state

Thank for that - it seems that I am a total dork - the **bleep** thing wasn't connected.

The USB had come out when I moved the computer to the back of my desk!

Doh!

This is not the solution - although I wouldn't expect my printer to work if it wasn't plugged and I was using a USB connection. The solution will likely have to do with your security firewall settings. I have McAfee - I turned off the firewall, then the error state message went away and it printed fine. I turned the firewall back on and clicked 'restore defaults', and I no longer have a problem. Hope this helps.

Hi Leebourn, can you tell me step-by-step (I am no computer geek) how you went about the printer settings to fix your 'error state' on your computer. I have a photosmart 5520 series and I accidentally deleted the printer. I thought I had reinstated it but the word error still comes up on the computer screen under printers.

Printer in error state indicates the printer can not be reached. Check that the printer is installed correctly. Check that the firewall is not blocking access. Check that the path to the printer is defined correctly. If it is a remote printer accessed through anothed computer chances are the path is not defined correctly.

Hiii!!

I have tried several times to unplug,  and hold button for 1 minute and it didn't work. I tried reloading the printer-B210-and using that, and it didn't work. I printed some things a few days ago, and now I can not!!!
