Product: Deskjet 2540 Series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

 

The printer is not printing with black ink and only printing with other colors.  If I try to print a page only black text, it wont put anything on paper and paper come as blank. I tried to put grayscale and even bought new ink cartridge also but none is helping me. Can you please suggest some solution asap?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing on your Deskjet 2540 printer.  If going through the steps in order does not resolve the issue try the following:  remove the black cartrdige and gently blot the printhead against a damp tissue.  Does it leave a strong black blot?
