Replaced magenta with a new one. Warning cartridge may be damaged. Replaced 2nd time with a new SAME

replaced magenta cartidge twice with new.

CARTRIDGE PROBLEM 

M magenta

One or more cartridges appear to be damaged remove and replace with new.

The empty cartridge worked fine until it was empty.

Same error message for two new replacements

I beleive you need a firmware update.

This Post pertains to the following OfficeJet products listed in the following table that has new firmware that disables the cartridge security affecting cartridges using Non-HP security chips.  If your printer is not listed here, it is not affected.

Sabretooth04...THANKS for your suggestion. Despite I was installing genuine HP cartridges, I had problems, but your solution worked. Cheers
