I am suddenly having strange print issues on my PhotoSmart 7520. I only use HP Genuine Ink and HP Color Lock Paper. I have a new Black and new Photo Ink cartridge in, and some older CMY cartridges. According to the graphs, the CMY are all around 25% full. Last time they ran out, it printed fine until they were out and then stopped entirely. When I print a photo on photo paper from my computer it looks perfect! When I print anything else from the computer or printer, it looks very strange unless I select "Use Black Only". I tried running the clean process, and it didn't fix anything. I've also noticed it looks like its using the color ink to print Black text which is even more confusing.
The total printer life is around 350 sheets, and this is my second set of CMYP cartridges and third K cartridge. It seems to eat ink like crazy!
Here is what my print quality diagnostic report looks like.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi, unfortunately the photo isn't showing up yet (sometimes takes a few mins). Which printer model do you have?

Hi, is the printer still within warranty? You can check by entering the serial no. below....
Have you checked the vent area on the cartridges?

Well this is even stranger, the tool is saying it's out of warranty. I purchased it this March 2013 and it says it has a 1 year Warranty. The vents look okay, the tool makes it seem like its the print head.

Ok then I'd definitely suggest contacting HP Phone Support, as it sounds like you have proof of purchase so they should cover your warranty.
Can you please let us know how you get on?

No luck, my appeal was denied. The denial said I purchased the printer in Ireland and therefore it isn't covered by the US warranty. I purchased it directly from HP.com and had it shipped directly to the US. I included my proof of purchase. I appealed and they said my serial number shows it was a printer sold in Ireland. I am not sure what to do at this point.
