How do I print 8 1/2 x 14 paper on my HP 8620 Pro printer if the tray is 8 1/2 x 11?

According to the User Guide manual, you need to extend the tray:

I've extended the tray and inserted the paper but I can't find 8½ x 14 software setting anywhere. Maybe because Instant Ink has turned off that capability?

I can't answer your latest question, sorry (although I doubt that 'instant ink' would have that effect).

[My experience is with LaserJet printers; I don't have access to an OfficeJet Pro 8620, nor do I have a Windows 8.1 system]

I found it... very obscure!

You can change the setting to "legal" under:

Print/Properties/Paper-Quality/Advanced/Paper-Output/Paper Size.

You then have to go through the same routine to change it back for "letter" size.

Unreal!

Thanks for responding dadsdaduk.
