For the Officejet Pro 8000 and Officejet Pro 8000 wireless, there is no slot for inserting an envelope. Therefore, you have to remove the paper from the tray to print an envelope.
Follow these steps to print a size 10 envelope without removing the paper from the tray:
.) Open Microsoft Word 2007
.) Under the Insert tab, select the rectangle shape
.) Draw a rectangle shape (any size)
.) Right click on the rectangle and click "Format AutoShape..."
.) Under the Size tab, enter 9.5" for the height and 4.125" for the width. Make sure "Absolute" is selected.
.) Under the Layout tab, select "Center" for the horizontal alignment
.) Click OK
.) Use the keyboard up arrow key to move the rectangle to the top of the page. Make sure that the top edge of the rectangle touches the top edge of the document/page
.) Print the document on plain 8.5" x 11" paper.
.) Create an envelope
.) To print an envelope, place the 8.5 x 11 document in the paper tray printed side face up. Place the envelope over the 8.5x11 page and align the envelope edges with the edges of the rectangle border.
.) In Microsoft Word, go to Print > Properties > Advanced tab and make sure that "back to front" is selected. If you print front to back, you risk a paper jam. Click OK and OK.
Save this 8.5x11 document for the next time you want to print an envelope.
