My husband and I have 2 identical printers - one downstairs, and one upstairs.  His printer is 'upstairs'.  My printer is 'downstairs'.  How do I :  a) change the printer's names to ID them with our initials?  (The 'change name' wouldn't allow me to type in a revised name with 'LG'),   b) setup my printer so it can be selected when I want to print downstairs?   I tried the setup system, entering the IP address of my computer, but this (my husband's) laptop seems to be 'confused' - even though the IP addresses (I assume) should be different.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Use the Printer properties in Devices and Printers to change the name. (right click)

Set your printer as the default printer in Devices and Printers. (right click)
