Hi likhmann and welcome to the HP forums!

You have a Photosmart C5280 with an error code C2FE0100? I will definitely do my best to help you out!

Generally the error that you're seeing is in relation to the firmware. The first thing I'd recommend you do is see if you can update the firmware from the front panel of the printer by following this Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates

document. If you're not able to update it that way, you can also try from the computer by downloading and installing the update.

Let me know how this goes for you!

Hi MissTeriLynn!

No, the problem is not resolved, the matter is that when you turn the printer on the HP logo is displayed for a few seconds, then a blue screen with an error C2FE0100 for a second and final white screen flashes the power button. As a result, the computer is not now connects to the printer, software on your link will simply not show it in the list. very sad

Hi likhmann,

Sorry to hear those didn't work for you!

The only other thing I can suggest, because we cannot reset the printer (it needs to get to the home screen for that), is that you have the printer plugged directly to a wall outlet, and perhaps try leaving it unplugged for a few hours, or over night if possible. Once you unplug the printer, press and hold the power button on the printer as well to drain any power the unit itself may be holding as well.

If this doesn't make any difference, please call HP Tech Support for you area and inquire about the trade in and trade up program as well as any other options they may have for you.

Hope this helps, have a great day!

Open the printer cover and reinsert the cables on the print head. It might not be properly inserted. Regards
