Envy 7640/7645
Microsoft Windows Vista

The 7645 is sold at COSTCO.
The 7640 is sold at Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy...

The 7645 includes both, a phone cable and a USB cable.
The 7640 includes only the phone cable.

Will these printers work with Apple OS El Capitan ?

Are there printer drivers available for El Capitan ?

I do not see it listed on their boxes.

What are the main differences in the specs of these printers ? Where can I find a detailed table or spec sheet for each, so that I can compare them ?

Thank you

DaleBr

Hi,

Basically they are the same, they use same software of the Envy 7640 series, same manual/guide ... They are on different markets/stores.

And Yes, they support all current Operating systems (Windows, iOS .... ).

Regards.

Hi:

Thank you for your reply.

The main reason that I am asking is that if you look at BestBuy.com or Amazon.com the 7640 has great ratings,

but if you look at Amazon.com or Costco.com the 7645 has a much lower rating.

A family member had to get 3 of the 7645's before he had one that worked, and it still has some problems.

It goes to sleep and can't be woken up without cycling the power.

Touching the touchpad has no effect.   It stays asleep.

I did not experience this problem when testing the 7640 at Staples.
