I bought the deskjet 3050 all in one, after doing my research I understood the HP encouraged refills. However I am nit able to get my printer to print after I have refilled the cartridges? Why is this?
I am in the process of checking out my warranty and have found the serial number but I cannot locate the product number. Can anyone help me please? It just seems silly that I cannot refill the cartridges but I can buy a brand new printer with 2 new cartridge for the £26.00 - obviously this would be silly to buy another printer just for the cartridges - wouldn't it? If anyone can help please reply. Kindest regards

What product number are you having difficulty locating? If you have a DJ 3050, then the compatible cartridges are HP301 black (or HP301xl black) and HP301 color (or HP301xl color). For any queries on cartridge compatibility, check out SureSupply

Thank-you, I am trying to refil the black on the HP301 with ink, rather than buying another cartrdige. It's not registering that it's been filled up. It's just saying the ink is low?

I have the same problem. after I started researching I found that there is a class action suit for HP not mentioning that!
So far I found that I'm screwed on this issue. I think HP plans to give $1-2 off coupons - to make it all better. HUH!
I can re-ink my own & would if the printer would accept it. To save $1 or 2 off a cartridge DOESN'T ALMOST even fix it!
ALso, my daughter picked out an HP laptop....What a piece of ****. It went back during the warranty for screen issues. Now it's like 1 1/2 years old & the screen is totally blank.
HP- never again!!
