I have a new HP Windows 8 and a new HP Photosmart 6520 printer.

I cannot print because it is offline.  I tried going into settings to make sure the check mark was on default printer.  I keep getting the message that printer is offline.

@carolynsez, did you try running the HP print & scan doctor program?
