Hi,

when printing from the printer, the page is coming off in black blocks, i have tried printing to a different printer and it worked fine. i also tried printing from a different PC and still had the same issue. my thoughts is that this is a driver issue.

can you help?

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that you are getting Strange or Garbled Characters while printing. I would like to help you out with this issue today.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • How is the printer connected to the computer, wired or wireless?

Meanwhile:

  • Cancel the print job, and then select the correct printer.
  • Print an alternate file in the same program.
  • Print from another program.
  • Reset the printer.
  • Install an alternate print driver.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Let me know how you make out.
