printer head problem?

Product Name: HP printer #6835
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I just bought ALL new inks for this printer and right away would NOT print, said "print head" problem?  Whatever that is...so took out all of the new inks and got a flash light and looked down inside the printer only to see a huge GLOB of black ink...tried cleaning some of it with Q tips, but there is too much and too messy.

Did an ink level check and the black ink dumped at least a 1/3 of it's ink..

Just going to junk this and buy a new one, but burns me that I spent money I didn't need to on all new inks.  Printers are a rip off..my opinion...but of course, you have to have them...

Re: printer head problem?

I would advise contacting HP support.
Unfortunately the printhead is non replaceable so you'll have to get the actual printer replaced.

Re: printer head problem?

Yep, I figured I just have to buy a new printer, if for no other reason, just to not try and clean up a huge mess of black ink and then no guarantee it would even work again. Sadly, the printer is only ONE year old too.
