Hi

If you use the card reader, it automatically starts the HP JetAdvantage app and log in?

Or, you must start the HP JetAdvantage app and then use the card?

Regards

Patrik

The anwer to your question is somewhat dependent on the solution you are running and how you have it configured.  For Private Print and Udocx, you 1st run the app and then swipe your card.

Before the card reader will work, you must configure it.  This must be done by a Company Admin for you company's HP JetAdvantage On Demand account.  The steps she should perform:

1). Click the Jet Advantage button

2). Login with her On Demand Admin email address and password

3). Click the Configure Card Reader link

4).  Follow the set up steps

Once an admin has the card reader set up, end users must register their card at the device.  This is done by clicking the Card Reader checkbox below the password field during login.

Once the end user's card has been registered this sequence will get the user logged into HP JetAdvantage On Demand at that device:

1). Click the Jet Advantage button

2). Wait until the card reader has been initialized, as seen below the user list on the control panel

 3). Swipe your card

The Secure Print solution purchased with Card Reader support utilizes a different Card Reader registration mechanism and enables card swipes before clicking the Secure Print button.
