DeskJet 3632

I just purchased the DeskJet 3632 and after we set it up we printed out something for our business and it needs to be a specific color and when it was done printing all the colors were too dark and muted. We have searched several forum and also done all the steps on HP support page except buying new ink. We dont want to go and purchase new ink if that is not what is wrong with out new printer. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please help.

@karynnslichter

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand the printer is printing the wrong color,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Have you attempted to run a diagnostic page or utilize the HP Print and scan doctor?

Did you ensure the genuine HP Cartridges are installed on your printer?

While you respond to that, here are a few steps that should lead you to a resolution:

Step 1: Use genuine HP ink cartridges

HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink or toner supplies. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP or refilled cartridges. If you do not use genuine HP cartridges, the steps in this document might not resolve the issue. To check the authenticity of your cartridges, go to hp.com/go/anticounterfeit.

Step 2: Check for ink smears on the back of printouts

If there are smears of ink on the back of your printouts, you can use an automated tool to resolve the issue.

Step 3: Make sure you are using the appropriate paper for your print job

Using incorrect paper for the print job might cause warping, lines, or streaks. Refer to the following guidelines to make sure the paper you are using is appropriate. If it is not, reload the printer with an appropriate paper type.
