hp officejet Pro 6230 ePrinter
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

how is it possible to set preferences for e Printing documents?

(ePrinting documents: the documents that are printed via email)

I have already changed something (black ink only) through the interface of the hp application assistant but it did not apply for the ePrinted documents.

Hello, @FAIDRA – Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I understand that you are trying to change the printing preferences while using the ePrint option.

I am afraid that the HP ePrint default print settings cannot be changed from the printer control panel or HP Connected. Hence the ePrint documents will be printed in color. Please go to http://hp.care/2oPWfBJ and check “Can I change the default print settings for an HP ePrint print job?” under FAQ.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Good luck 🙂

Hello DVortex,

Yes, from the link (HP Printers - Setting Up and Using HP ePrint), I see that:

  • Duplex printing (printing on both sides of the page) is not supported by HP ePrint.
  • HP ePrint default print settings cannot be changed from the printer control panel or HP Connected.

Thank you for your help.
