Getting error 30.01.08 Scanner failure

Can anyone show a picture or describe where the 'scanner lock' is?

Aparantly I need to make sure this in the 'unlocked' position.

Please am facing the same problem but my lock is on unlock position. What should I do Please?

Cleaning and oiling/greasing the flatbed carriage unit rail usually fixes the issue for me.
