Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Now that I've installed windows 10, my laser printer WON'T do duplex printing, the "installable options" is grayed out and I can't install the duplexing option. 
I HAVE TRIED:

Removing and scanning for hardware changes, no change.

Updating drivers, insists that current drivers are latest, no change.

installing other drivers that come up on the hp website, THAT was a nightmare. I installed HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) NO CHANGE. I then tried the second option: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PostScript (64-bit) NO CHANGE. 

After doing this, my printer wouldn't print at all, I got error messages, and in Stamps.com when I tried to print it said that my addresses wouldn't fit on the labels! I removed the printer again, reinstalled allowing windows to use the driver that it installs automatically, the printer SHOWED UP in the control panel, but EVERY program I tried to print from says there's NO PRINTER INSTALLED!

I ended up having to re-install windows 10, just to get some work done, 58 PACKAGES went out late because I couldn't print simple labels.

 

EDIT: I was able to resume printing (without duplex), tried a few copies, which worked, so then tried to repeat, but NOW the printer says the TRAY TWO IS OPEN, and IT IS NOT! PLEASE tell me a driver that will let me use this printer again!

This printer is a workhorse and prints great.  I WILL NOT go buy a new one just because your drivers are whacked. PLEASE HELP.
