Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M477fd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought my Color LaserJet M477fdw and when I turn it on it and it is "Initializing", I get the message "Fax hardware is either missing or not seated".  I also get this message when I try to fax.

Is there anything I can try to fix this or do I need a technician to come to my office?

Note: Everything else on the printer works great - I did some scanning and printing and those features work great.   Just need to fix this fax issue.

Hello,

Yes, your printer will require service or exchange it at your retailer if possible.

I work on behalf of HP.

Thanks.   I contacted HP by phone a few days ago and they concluded that same thing.  The vendor is exchanging the printer for a new one.
