Is there a known problem with this printer where once it goes to sleep it wont wake up for any LAN related jobs? If I am not in the same room, I have to ping the IP address to get it to wake up. I have all the wake up on LAN events checked in the web GUI.

check the port in the driver

open devices and printers, right click on the printer, choose "printer properties", choose the ports tab- See is the device is installed as a WSD port rather than a TCP/IP port.

If you have a good IP address and can get to the web interface for the device, go to the network settings tab and disable IPv6, DHCPv6, I think these are under the advanced settings link.

Also verify the proper "Wake On Event" is enabled or on

The product automatically wakes from the auto power-down mode when it receives jobs or when you

touch the screen on the product control panel. You can change which events cause the product to wake.

Open the following menus:

System Setup

Energy Settings

Auto Power Down

Wake Events

To turn off a wake event, select the event and then select the No option.

I am not a HP employee. I am a service tech on these forums researching topics and offering my best guess to aide in your troubleshooting.
