HP LaserJet 600 M601 doesn't want to use envelope feeder

To PCWizard and Roberto:  I have been to the commercial forums as you suggest, but this very ANNOYING issue is not addressed there anyhwere - I searched extensively!!  I am having this same issue as all of these people with my HP laserjet 600 M601 not recognizing my HP CE399A envelope feeder, and expensive add-on part that was purchased for me with the new printer because over half my job is printing #10 and C6 envelopes (actually A2, but there is no setting for A2 in Word 2010, which is ludicrous, so I had to adjust).  Our IT tech and I were on the phone with Roberto at HP last month for almost 3 hours trying to get this issue fixed and we finally did, but it only worked for the remainder of the job I was doing that day.  When I had my next mailing the next week, it was back to not recognizing the feeder again, and/or only taking one envelope at a time and then telling me to load the feeder, or choose another tray.  Our local HP rep told us that if we got it to work once, it is not the feeder, so we can't return it (even though it has not worked from day one), and he has no answers as to what to do about the printer, either, if it not the feeder that is causing this problem.  Does ANYONE at HP have any solutions for this problem?

Do you experience the same issues when you load the envelopes into Tray 1 without using the envelope feeder unit?
