HP LaserJet P1102w Roller Marks

I have an HP LaserJet P1102w printer.  When a page is printed, two indented, non-ink vertical lines appear on the printed page about 2 3/4ths inches from the left and right edges of the paper.  Is there an adjustment I can make on the printer to repair this problem?

Hi Printer608

I understand your Laserjet P1102w has two indented marks on the left and right edges of the paper.

Are you using paper that meets HP specifications?

Media Types are Paper (laser, plain, photo, rough, vellum), envelopes, labels, cardstock, transparencies, postcards.

Supported media weight is 16 to 43lb.

Printer specifications url:

I included a url on print Quality Issues.

Any further issues please let me know.

Re: HP LaserJet P1102w Roller Marks

I have just purchased this printer and I am having similar issue. Roller marks. I am using HP Premium Paper 80G, also tried Canon 80G paper with similar problem. Please advise?

Just returned from the store where I swapped the printer for another P1102W, and it has exactly same problem. I could scream.

Re: HP LaserJet P1102w Roller Marks

I'm having the same problem that many people seem to be having with the p1102w: two vertical roller marks on every sheet of paper. I find it hard to believe, as a response, that hp would ask if its customers are using the correct paper. I've had the problem on standard 20lb stock, 22lb stock, and laser-printer-specific 24lb stock. Please give us a fix for this obvious manufacturing flaw.

I just bought a HP P1102w and it has similar marks. I know this is a cheap product but still that is unacceptable. I use standard 80 gram copy paper.

Re: HP LaserJet P1102w Roller Marks

No, it did not resolve the issue, and I've noticed that HP continues to sell these same printers even though they are well aware of the problem (if they pay any attention to this forum, or others, which detail the same issue). I bought a Brother printer. Very happy with it so far. I'm done with HP.
