I have a Windows 2012 R1 print server which hosts a network printer HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn (Driver version: 5.0.1.57036). Printers are applied successfully via group policy. There's no printing issues, however, when users log onto a Windows 2008 R2 remote desktop server and Windows 7 computers the following error appears in the system event viewer:

"Windows could not load print processor HP1100PrintProc because EnumDatatypes failed. Error code 126. Module: HP1100PrintProc.dll. Please obtain and install a new version of the driver from the manufacturer (if available), or choose an alternate driver that works with this print device."

Any advice how to resolve?

I've used the HP universal driver PCL5 and this has resolved the issue.
