I would like to know if the above printer supports the use of simultaneous connections through USB and Network? The printer is already set up as a USB printer to one host computer, and I would like to connect it to another host via network - is this possible to do this without losing existing functionality set up through the USB?

Many thanks for your response.

HP usually recommends you do not connect the printer in this way, however, my experience is that it will work the way you want it to work.  Since you are only using 2 computers odds of having mulitple jobs interferring with each other will probalby never happen.

So is it certain that printing jobs will be lost if they get sent simultaneously, or the internal buffer will be able to store a queue of jobs? Is there a priority of one over the other (USB / Network)? I've seen that it is ok to use the wireless printers through USB and still have wireless connectivity so I thought this would be the same case?

Many thanks for your support.
