My HP Color Laserjet MFP M476nw is making a loud squawking noise when printing envelopes.  Does it require lubrication?

If you are using non-HP / recycled / refilled toner cartridges, then first step which I would suggest is to replace those cartridges with genuine HP toner cartridges.

If not the toner cartridge then it would be one of the printer hardware component which is in question, hence an HP tech. might need to perform physical inspection of the device and the error condition.

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

Hi,

Please do confirm if the noise is a grinding noise or squeky/humming noise.

I would suggest you to re-check & validate your toner cartridges.  One of the toner cartrdige may be defective and causing this issue.
