I just need to know how to print a pdf file. My printer is installed correctly, and Adobe is up to date. When I open the document - I get a lovely view of it, with a black background so it's really highlighted and I can see what I want to print - but I cannot figure out how to tell it to print!! I have an all-in-one, with Windows 8. Can anyone help me please??

Thank you AutieEm. Your post was very helpful. The one thing that's ondd about the PD driver in Win8, htough, is that whenever I've done a cold boot down & up, the driver forgets that I have the duplex module installed in teh printer. (LaserJet 2015d).
It would be great, if this is a bug, if it could be fixed.

@Pj-Miles. To print your PDF file. With a mouse you can point to the bottom right corner of the screen, the charms will slide out. With a touchscreen simply swipe in from the right, the charms will slide out.
In the charms, choose Devices.
In the resulting list, choose your printer. Continue the dialogue to print as necessary.

can anyone tell me why my 2050 fresh out of the box running on 64 windows 8 thinks that it is out of the brand new color ink that came with the printer, or why HP thinks the warranty has expired when the device was not on any computer from time of purchase until 3 months ago.
or what a print head is ? really just need to print something for work when started said was out of ink paper undetectable and blank ink spending the past 90 minutes tinkering around with it through a variety of solutions manage to get it down to this last issue ; can some one help me clear the color ink issue or at least how i might be able to print in black and white or how to contact customer support

i get the out of ink error on my 2050 deskjet used to get paper and black ink, uninstalling, the ink as hard as i could as well as restarting the printer by plugging it and unplugging as well as uninstalling and installing the software about 5 times cleared all but the color ink issue tomorrow i am going to throw it in the dumpster and buy a new printer non hp so if all the above does not clear your problem just shop a competitor

I need some help. I am running windows 8 off my HP computer, connected to my HP Photosmart Plus B209a All-In-One Printer and I can't get it print correctly. By that I mean, I work on a nice word document and I can see it in print preview just fine, it looks great and then I hit print and it's only printing the bottom portion of my page in a very light gray color. I have almost full ink levels and have used this printer in the past with no problems. This is happening all of a sudden. When I open the docs as a PDF I can get the whole page to print but it's still only that super light gray color. I've checked the print options and they are fine and set to print in color as always and I've even gone back to confirm my text color in docs. It's very frustrating because this is not an issue I have ever had before with this printer. Please offer assitstance on how to remedy this issue. I have restarted the computer, reinstalled the drivers, restarted the printer and still have all the same issues.

Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or
software issue. Printing a Network Configuration Page.
If the self test printed properly then I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor since it might resolve the issue automatically.
I have provided a document for Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages. Disregard the title.
Here is another document for 'Printhead Problem' or 'Printhead Appears to be Missing or Damaged' Message Displays on the Control ... Shows you how to manually clean the printhead.
If you require further help please provide the following information so I can assist you better.
Did the self test print properly?
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?

I have a HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer. I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 8.1. Since I've had Windows 8.1, I can't seem to print with my black ink cartridge only and print double-sided. I can do one or the other, but not both. Any idea how I can fix this?

Today, a solution for your printer is not available for Windows 8. However, a driver update will be available.
