Laser Jet Pro 400

I am trying to print a large sign the font size is 198 and it will fit on the page - it just won't print.

what is wrong.??

Print your document / sign as an image to eliminate the need for the printer to understand and translate the font size.

The circumvention suggested by @Dragon-Fur should certainly work.

 

As regards a more permanent fix, there was an issue identified a year or so ago which (I think) affected LaserJet Pro 200/300/400 models: font sizes of 72 points or above just resulted in blank areas on the page.

 

The problem was resolved in a firmware release.

So you'll need to download and install the latest firmware for your model.
