Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am having issues with printing images on my printer from word. When I view the said image i word the image is complete however when I view this image in the print preview the bottom portion about .20 of an inch is cut off. If I print this image the bottom .20 inches is also cut off. What adjustments do i need to do to print the entire object. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer and when you print an image from Word, the print preview shows that the bottom portion about .20 of an inch is cut off. And the print also has the bottom .20 inches cut off.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Have you tried printing from other applications and checked if it prints the way you want?
  • Have you check the paper size and other print settings before printing?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Please perform the steps as described in detail in this link. Please note this is a third party link and I suggest you to ignore any ads and take only free suggestions.
  • I also request you to go through the steps from this HP document: HP Printers - Printing Photos (Windows). This link provides steps to select the paper type and size, etc. before you print.

I sincerely hope this helps. Let me know the outcome. Cheers!
