HP laserjet M1212nd MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently installed the drivers for the M1212 on my new Windows laptop (along with some extra HP "support" software, I guess).

I would like to disable the pop-up warnings about things like "load tray." Dismissing the warning just causes it to pop up again seconds later -- and it is front- and-center, making other work impossible. I'd like to be able to ignore an empty tray for a few minutes without this piece of software preventing all other work.

I tried (and failed) to delete "HP Laserjet Toolbox"; I get a warning saying that the uninstallation did not work. 1) is that the program I need to delete; 2) is there another way to disable these intrusive messages?

I do not know for sure that this will curb the enthusiasm of the printer software; the changes are easy and worth a try:

Windows key > Settings  Settings_Wheel_2.JPG > Notifications > Notifications & actions >

set to OFF:  Get notifications from apps and other senders

set to OFF:  Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use windows

Printer Ink Alerts:

Printer Assistant shortcut icon on the Desktop >

Click on Ink icon (last entry on the top ribbon) >

Advanced Settings >

CHECK Show all printer alerts only when I print (defer my alerts until I print, and hide printer alerts from other networked users)
