This worked great for my Printer (P2055dn) which was giving me these message every time I printed

Many thanks to PCWizard. I do not like registering for anything online.  But I believe the advice he provided solved my problem and worth recognizing.  A problem HP could handle very easily, but prefers to annoy their customers instead.  This is just one example of many lame software problems I've encounterd using HP.

Printer Status Notification is not a line item on my computer. There is nothing to change.
