Re: Elite e9150t Feezes/Locks up

beb2009:  make sure the workarounds prevent the BSODs!  You can have BSODs for all sorts of reasons (bad memory, power .... etc) unrelated to freezing.

Lindia e9180f i7 920 China (warm reboot works, but other issues, sleep settings in power manage fixed it (was sent back for repair 9/21 corrected tattoo, replaced CPU, replaced mobo TruckeeUL8E???, no problems as of 9/26 <<<<

That's good news!  Congratulations!  Please keep us informed.  We should check out the mobo, to see if is it any different from the v1.04 Truckee?  Also the tattoo was interesting.   It couldn't be they have put the wrong data in the BIOS for a device, that it reads cold, and reloading the BIOS discovers the right data.  Just speculating.

Re: Elite e9150t Feezes/Locks up

Ok, Lindia that was easy

The "Pegatron Truckee-UL8E 1.03 motherboard is a total lemon" thread started by no other eots on 8/03 can be found in the forum.  So I guess Lindia got the same mobo, but which version v1.03 or v1.04 or something else?

Lindia:  Could you check the version.  You run the hardware tools, go to the system test, find the system board item and its info link, under detailed info it tells you which version.   Mine is a v1.04.

Thanks

Re: Elite e9150t Feezes/Locks up

I received the same E Mail from Pegatron this morning. It looks as though we are not going to get any further info from this source. I have decided to call it a day and tomorrow I will return my 2nd faulty machine (M9765uk) to the retailer and seek a full refund - fortunately I am still within the 28day cut off period -. I will go to Dell for my future requirements which is a pity as  I have always had HP machines and use their personal and pocket drives which I find very useful. There is no point in continuing to bang my head against a brick wall with an organisation like HP which will simply not communicate openly with its customers. I hope those who cannot get their money back due to time constraints eventually find a solution. Good luck.

Re: Elite e9150t Feezes/Locks up

Since I updated the Intel Storage Manager to version 8.9 yesterday, I haven't had any BSOD's.  Thought things were looking good until I did a cold boot this morning.  Within about 5 minutes, the computer lockedup/froze so it looks like I'm back to the cold boot/warm boot scenerio.  Should I call my case manager to get this in the case notes?  Though not acceptable, I can deal with this as long as no other problems arise.  Not sure that I want to go through the hassle of sending this one back for bench testing or getting a third machine.

Re: Elite e9150t Feezes/Locks up

Tech guy managed to get rid of the junk that came w/ the PC, BSOD seemed to have stopped but freezing and lock ups are still there after 5-10 min of cold boot.

I'm now looking @ other computers out there that maybe offering a better deal.  This POS might be going back next week.
