ADF runs too fast during scans on 1536dnf in Mac OSX 10.7.1 Lion

Hello! I have an HP LaserJet 1536dnf MFP and I am running a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.7.1 Lion. I'm not using any of the HP scanning software anymore, per the support page for the printer elsewhere on this site. I previously updated the firmware in the MFP to the latest version, and I have done all the available Mac OS software updates, which presumably brought my printer drivers up to the latest version.

My problem is that when I try to scan documents from the document feeder using either Preview or Image Capture, the automatic document feeder zips the document past the scanner too quickly and each scanned page gets squished into about 1/3 of its correct size. This happens when I set the scan options to either "text" or "black and white". Interestingly, when I set the scan option to "color", the ADF feeds the document through at the correct slow speed and the resulting scans are sized correctly. I have no problems scanning from the flatbed with any settings.

What's going on here? Any assistance in resolving this and getting my non-color scan modes to work correctly would be greatly appreciated!

I have exactly the same issue with the same model printer and Mac software

Same exact problem here.  I noticed there's a software update (Apple) available today for printers.  I'll check it out.

Looks like today's software update fixed the problem.  I was able to scan in text mode at 300dpi to PDF with no problems.

I checked software update today and didn't see anything particularly related to printers, but I installed everything, restarted, and it is, indeed working correctly now. I have updated to 10.7.2 in the meantime, also. In any case, yippee!
