After installing Macintosh Snow Leopard 10.6.2, printer will not print.

Mac OS X Snow Leopard  10.6.2    Today I installed 10.6.2 after using 10.5.8 for two years.

My printer is:  HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless A909g     It has always worked perfectly.

After installing the 10.6.2 software,  I could not print anything!  I chose "print" from the file

menu.  I then added the number of copies I wanted from the drop-down box;  then clicked

on "Print."  A message box immediately appeared saying, "Error while printing."

I reinstalled my printer software,  hoping this would help.  It did not!  I still receive the same

message.  Please help!!!!  I have a home business,  and need to print throughout the day.

Hi optimissus,

First of all uninstall the printer again from Applications/Hewlett-Packard/HP Uninstaller.

Then reboot Mac.

Download from this link:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-74801-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...

Install the software and reboot Mac.

Finally test the multifunction.
